Our Story
Indiam was founded by Ajaykumar Patel. Born in India, Mr Patel has good experience from his childhood growing up within a diamond manufacturing family, which has given him great social networking advantages in the the Diamond Industry. Mr Patel has been in South Africa for the last 11 years and in 2015 he began trading small sized rough diamonds to overseas clients, where it is cost effective to polish those sizes with low labour charges in places such as India and China.
Mr Patel has since started manufacturing diamond jewellery in South Africa which contains gold, platinum and diamonds produced only in South Africa. We feel that we have great potential and genuine customers who understand the premium that diamonds contain, as well as the essence of hard work and patience.
Our Team
Indiam is managed by Mr Patel Ajaykumar (Director) who is 3rd generation in the Diamond Industry, qualified with the GIA (Gemological Institute of America) Grading systems experience, 14 years experience with multi origin rough diamonds and polished diamonds.
We also have Thuleleni Tshabalala as a Director of the company and office administrator, who has done her course with African Minerals College in Johannesburg and has been in the Diamond Industry for over 8 years.

Indiam Pty Ltd is member of Rough Diamond Dealers Associations (RDDA) and specialises in custom made engagement and wedding rings, specifically over 1ct or 2ct.
We supply rough diamonds from South Africa to leading companies as well as to the UAE, Belgium, Hong Kong and India.
